Interior design for the Hair Stylist in Taiwan. The vertical gardens mediate the boundaries between inside and outside

In the city of Taipei, designer Jacki Chen of Lo - Wen Studio creates the interior design for Piaoliang Hair Studio by maximizing the functional space available for the salon and organizing the elements like the pieces of a puzzle.

The interior project carried out for Piaoliang Hair Studio in Tapei by designer Jackie Chen envisages maximising the functional space available and organising the elements that, like the pieces of a puzzle create a series of smaller and more intimate spaces inside the deep floor plan of the room.

Piaoliang Hair Studio is located on the ground floor of a residential condominium in Taipei. The large window overlooking the street invites passers-by to approach and observe the area dedicated to haircuts.

The secondary spaces are located in the centre of the floor plan, divided into more intimate groupings. The services closed to the public are located in the back corners along with a private space reserved for the VIP space usually frequented by celebrities and models.

The protagonist of the palette is the brilliant white of cement and marble, accompanied by light black accents and upholstery softened by the warm reflections of wood. The oversized screens and full-height hinged windows eliminate the sense of a fixed "edge" and create a playful flow between the spaces.

Large mirrors maximize the impact of natural light, providing a glimpse of the greenery from all sides of the salon further blurring the perception of the boundaries of space. The lush vertical gardens add a contrast to the sobriety of the interior, intentionally blurring the distinction between inside and outside.
