Villa "of light" in Toledo. The architecture is designed around four internal patios

Studio OOIIO designs this villa based on the concept of a traditional Spanish house, which revolves around internal patios, a source of light and the house's gardens, but overturns the classic ceramic cladding from top to bottom

Home GAS was born from the desire to introduce natural light into a large plot of land. The result is four patios, strategically designed and positioned in the plot, which are four light wells and four natural ventilation distributors, alternating throughout the site

Inside the patios the volumes reach different heights depending on the function they perform. So, the highest will be the one located on the "main" living-dining floor room and the lowest in the garage

The house is white, clean, with simple and clear lines, with windows being the " raison d'être " of the project, the heart of its architecture, so its importance is also expressed in the materials that decorate it, using some pieces of ceramic, making them stand out and complement the composition of the entire house

The traditional patios of La Mancha are usually covered with a ceramic tile at the bottom, in this case the architects of OOIIO have reversed the traditional texture making the upper part of the patio covered by pieces of hexagonal ceramic and the lower part clean and white. A set of materials that guides the fall of light through the courtyards
